| In
New Jersey, customers have the following options for their energy supply:
- Business customers may shop on their own for an alternate electric
supplier and have the option to participate in Optional
Hourly Energy Pricing. To select an alternate supplier, see our
list of energy suppliers. For
further information, visit the
New Jersey Board of Public Utilities Web site.
- All customers who reside in Bergen County have the opportunity to
support the development of clean, renewable sources of energy like
solar power, wind power, low-impact or small hydro power, and landfill
gas power. A simple way to help make a cleaner tomorrow is to participate
in the New Jersey CleanPower Choice
Program brought to you by the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities.
- To participate, you need to select a CleanPower Choice supplier, agree to a renewable energy
charge that will be added to your monthly electric bill and complete an enrollment form. You
will still get the same reliable service from Rockland Electric Company, and you will still
receive only one bill from Rockland Electric. The difference is you will see an additional
charge in a separate line item on your bill for your CleanPower purchase. To learn more or
to enroll in New Jersey's CleanPower Choice Program, call 1-866-NJSMART or visit the New
Jersey CleanPower Web site.
